Luis Suarez has admitted that he 'lied' to his wife Sofia about biting Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup.

Suarez and Chiellini clashed during the closing stages of Uruguay's victory against Italy, with both players going down in the box after an incident off the ball.

It later emerged, courtesy of video replays, that Suarez had bitten Chiellini, echoing an incident involving Branislav Ivanovic during his time at Liverpool and a further biting situation that occurred while he played for Ajax.
